Fixed Public Ebikes Parking, Integrated Development!
On November 26,2024,the first batch of 1,500 shared electric bikes from OMNI customers was put into trial operation.Currently,301 dockless stations have been built in the urban area, offering citizens a more convenient, fast, and eco-friendly transportation service.
A Station with Two Modes of Transportation Integrated with Public Bicycles
The launch of this project marks the beginning of OMNI customers'new model for"integrated operation of public bicycles+public electric bicycles"in public transportation.Since the launch of the first batch of public bicycles in 2015,OMNI customers have gained widespread recognition from citizens.Over the past nine years, the models of public bicycles have continuously been upgraded, and the bike rental methods have become more diverse. This year, the upgraded public electric bike service will create a new“two-wheel micro-bus”green travel model, offering two modes of transportation at one station and providing the public with more diversified travel options.
On top of ensuring the public service of bicycles, the addition of public electric bicycles ensures citizens'riding convenience and safety, while also providing a sustainable direction for the long-term operation of two-wheeled transportation services.
"Shared electric bicycles"can also be referred to as"public electric bicycles."As a government-led electric two-wheeled transportation project,it continues the public bicycle service model.By involving state-owned enterprises in the construction and operation of public services, this model clarifies the public service nature of electric bikes while balancing market-based operations.
Its main feature is that the government plans parking stations, which are well integrated with the city’s major public transportation systems. The integration of the"public bicycle+public electric bicycle"model into urban life aims to create a local public electric bicycle brand.
Smart Bike Lock Brings Ultimate Precision Parking Point-to-Point
OMNI customers previously faced challenges in managing shared electric bikes, largely due to users concentrating large numbers of bikes at popular locations. This not only affected the city’s appearance and traffic order but also posed significant challenges for city management.OMNI IoT has been exploring the best balance between user constraints and experience, using more scientific methods(such as smart bike locks with IoT functions or other suitable IoT devices equipped on public e-bikes)to empower bike management.
Smart Parking with Local Geo Fencing for E-Bikes
In terms of vehicle parking, the OMNI customer project uses advanced local electronic fencing technology, which can control vehicles within the urban area.Once a vehicle moves beyond the service area boundary,it will automatically shut off and become unusable.Furthermore, the local electronic fencing is more comprehensive than traditional electronic fences. With this technology, smart bike lock vendors can implement local electronic fencing, making both public bicycles and public electric bicycles smarter and more convenient to manage, saving labor costs.Local electronic fencing supports up to 1,000 closed fences and can manage up to 200,000 latitude and longitude coordinates with millisecond-level response speeds, saving IoT card data traffic.
This system helps avoid the negative impacts of improper parking on urban mobility, reduces the workload of operation and maintenance staff, and improves overall operational efficiency—benefiting multiple aspects at once.
