OMNI Original 2024-12-24 14:22:53

OMNI Client Upgrades to Smart Dockless Bike-Sharing System

The public bicycle operation and management service project of OMNI's client in their country underwent an upgrade in March 2024.Since the upgrade, there are now over 510 dockless bike-sharing stations, with more than 4,300 positioning piles and 10,400 public shared bikes deployed across the city. This iteration replaces the original fixed docking station rental system with an upgraded system incorporating“smart bike locks”and“dockless electronic fencing technology.”The upgrade involves enhancements to system functionality, integration with the bike sharing app,and updates to the bicycles themselves. The adoption of advanced smart bike locks, which support multiple rental methods such as card swiping and QR code scanning, has introduced innovation and breakthroughs, making the rental process more convenient. The public shared bikes are equipped with features like solar-powered batteries, auto unlock and lock, making the rental experience simple and convenient for users.

Innovative Application(Smart Bike Lock and Bike Sharing System)

Since the system upgrade in March 2024,OMNI's client’s public bicycle operation and management service project has transitioned to a new type of dockless bike sharing system. This has significantly reduced station construction and operating costs, greatly improved the rental and return experience for users, and received strong recommendations from the local government and media.

Committed to Public Welfare:Building a Model for People’s Livelihood

OMNI’s client’s bike sharing system has consistently adhered to a one-hour free rental policy and actively introduced measures to make the service more accessible and user-friendly,such as providing bikes with child seats, offering a 24-hour customer service hotline, temporary parking, and implementing a no-deposit policy, all designed to benefit the public.

Improving Public Convenience and Maintaining Good Urban Order

Standardized management of public bicycles improves citizens'quality of life by solving the"last mile"problem, easing traffic congestion, and enhancing transportation efficiency. The dockless system reduces project complexity, while new technologies enhance management and service, offering more convenient and sustainable transportation. This also helps maintain OMNI's client’s positive image and public order in the city.

Reducing Government Burden and Lowering Fiscal Costs

After the dockless transformation, the number of related devices at stations has been reduced, and the project has adopted solar power, wireless internet connectivity, and simplified construction methods, significantly lowering both construction and daily operating costs.

Transitioning from Old to New Technology,Improving Citizen Cycling Experience

With the new bike sharing system, the restrictions of the previous"one bike, one dock"model are eliminated, effectively solving the problem of“no available docking space.”The new system uses mobile phone scanning and a"no-deposit"model,attracting an increasingly younger user demographic.Since the upgrade in March, the number of registered users has increased from 44,000 in March to 116,000 by October, with a substantial rise in daily rentals. This upgrade has successfully addressed the“last mile”travel issue for citizens, helping reduce urban traffic congestion and improving road traffic efficiency.

Citizen Satisfaction and Increased Demand for New Stations

With the help of the new generation bike sharing system, the novel rental and return methods and superior cycling experience have been recognized by citizens and the government. As a result, there is a growing demand for additional stations from the public.
