Pick-e-Bike Introduces Speed Setting for E-Bikes, Allowing Younger Riders Without Licenses
Recently, rental e-bike provider Pick-e-Bike launched a feature that allows its S-pedelecs,which normally reach speeds of up to 45 km/h,to function like standard e-bikes with a speed limit of 25 km/h.According to Micromobilitybiz(MMB),the"speed setting"feature enables riders aged 16 and below to participate in Switzerland's bike-sharing program without needing a relevant license. The pilot project is located in Basel,Switzerland,in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Roads Office(FEDRO),which checks whether users possess the necessary license and then uses the ebike GPS tracker to remotely adjust the bike's maximum speed from 45 km/h to 25 km/h.

The registration process is straightforward:riders simply need to install the Pick-e-Bike
